St Catherine's Hospice, Lancashire offers more than hospice-based care.
I went to visit last week to find out more about the absolutely brilliant work the hospice does to help people and their families through end-of-life care.
As well as offering care at the hospice, they also offer invaluable support to families and have launched a hospice-at-home service. The hospice is also part of the Compassionate Communities project, empowering people in Central Lancashire to help themselves and each other, through palliative care and bereavement support.
To find out more about the services they offer, you can visit here www.stcatherines.co.uk/our-care/
Three quarters of St. Catherine’s funding comes from fundraising activities and the café. Fundraising efforts by the local community are so important to enable the hospice to keep doing the great work that it does.
