Great news that the Landfill Communities Fund (part of the Lancashire Environmental Fund) is open for expressions of interest.
This fund awards money to projects such as improvements to community facilities, general environmental improvements, creation and management of habitats, improvements to parks, gardens, open spaces, play areas, recreational facilities, ponds, canals, rivers and natural biodiversity.
Some of the projects which have already been funded in South Ribble include:
refurbishment of Bretherton Village’s play area
the solar system at Hesketh Bank Community Centre
the Base II Project in Leyland
Hutton Marsh Habitat Improvement Plan (pictured)
The deadline for expressions of interest for Round 104 is Thursday 9th May.
