Fantastic to see these great crews starting road resurfacing work on Slater Lane on my way to a school in Croston on Friday.
We’ve had the wettest winter for 130 years and this has had an impact on the state of the roads and the ability to repair them. The weather is finally getting better, and it’s great that more work can start.
I know from speaking to people across South Ribble how frustrating potholes and poor-quality roads can be. I’m so pleased about the £244.5 million investment, from reallocated HS2 funds, to be spent over the next 10 years to improve Lancashire’s roads. There's also nearly three quarters of a billion set aside for transport projects in Lancashire.

Lancashire County Council lead on managing the road network in our area. They have an app available for residents to report any issues directly to them. The Love Clean Streets app turns your reports into a jobs list for their teams and you can track progress. You can find the app here http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/.../rep.../report-it-on-the-go/
