I first met the wonderful team at Banks Community and Leisure Centre last year, with the newly formed group of volunteers who had taken over. After hearing about their plans, I committed to helping with planning and funding - to get them to where they went to be - a hub for the whole community to enjoy.
After championing the community centre in meetings across Westminster, I was delighted to introduce them to the Football Foundation last week, who have funding from the government to invest in community centres like them.
Really looking forward to supporting them and seeing what happens next!
