Lancashire has today secured £732.135m from the new £4.7 Billion Local Transport Fund reallocated from the HS2.
Funding breakdown:
Lancashire County Council - £494,400,000
Blackburn with Darwen - £116,911,000
Blackpool - £120,824,000
I have written to Lancashire County Council today to push for some of the funding to be used to:
Reopen Midge Hall Station
Remove the buffers at Ormskirk
Reinstate the Burscough Curves
These projects would make a huge difference to people in South Ribble and the Northern Powerhouse.
