I’ve just popped into the Holiday Activity and Food Programme session at Kingsfold Primary School, Penwortham to join in with a bit of basketball and cricket.
A big thank you to Tanya, Katie and the rest of the team at Kingsfold Primary School for putting on a great week of sessions.
£220 million of government funding is available to local schools and councils to organise free holiday care, including healthy food and enriching activities throughout the summer holidays. These sessions are doing great things for young people by helping them stay active and keep healthy throughout summer.
If your child receives benefits-related free school meals, you can book a spot at one of these sessions by contacting your local council.
