It's #Lancashireday today - highlighting all things great about our historic county. One of the best things about us is our communities. I saw this first hand Friends of Eccleston Library are celebrating Lancashire day with a display of our history, some interesting artefacts and Lancashire food. From old maps of our beautiful county, to cheese, black pudding and more - the Friends have brought together a fantastic display of Lancashire's rich history.
It was great to chat with Jean and Lynda. Lynda even made some amazing Chorley cakes and was kind enough to share the recipe with me.
The Friends of Eccleston Library are a voluntary group that supports the library with activities to encourage community use of the facilities. To find out more, contact the Chairman, Bill Mason by emailing: [email protected]
