Our community in South Ribble has loads of fabulous groups doing plays, art and music. Historically, the money for this has been over concentrated in London and I am really glad that the Government (led by the ex-Liverpudlian Secretary of State Nadine Dorries) is changing that.
Groups like the St Ambrose Players (pictured below) from Leyland are Am Dram at its finest, and with loads of new jobs becoming available in a booming UK art sector, they are a great place to get started.
I am excited to help groups like them and others around Lancashire. Changes are being made to benefit arts groups outside of London, so there is an additional £75 million available for bids to organisations such as our fantastic Leyland Players.
