Yesterday I spent the day with Health Minister Lord Markham, senior leadership at the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and health workers, looking at proposals for the brand new hospital to replace the current Royal Preston.
This is such an important scheme for our area and something I have been working on since my election in 2019, it provides the long term solution to making sure local people can get swift access to healthcare when they need it.
Alongside the £15 million announced for extra bed capacity at our current hospitals this winter, I am delighted to see such significant investment by the Government for South Ribble in our future.
