We need to reopen stations like Midge Hall in Leyland. That's the case I made tonight at the book launch of Levelling Up 2.0, for which I wrote the transport chapter talking about how we connect the dots of Northern transport infrastructure.
I'm fighting to reopening Midge Hall Station because it's a prime example of a common sense move that would help better connect us in South Ribble. The trains run through the station, they even stop at the station, but no passengers can get on or off.
It was really important that we had Michael Gove with us this evening, the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, listening to the ideas we are talking about in this book.
