Katherine Fletcher has visited Little Hoole Primary School in Walmer Bridge to meet pupils and staff.
Katherine met up with the head Daniel Stammers to tour the school and she then talked with its Pupil Leadership Team to answer questions about her job and to talk about pupils' concerns around graffiti and litter in their area.
The school in Dobb Lane has 199 pupils and is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted.
“One of the best parts of being an MP is going to schools to speak to pupils and hear what they think about the world, what concerns them and what they hope for the future,” said Katherine.
Little Hoole was no exception. The pupils there were brilliant, engaged and full of views and concern about their community.
“I really enjoyed visiting this great school and I thank the head, his staff and all the pupils for such a warm welcome. I hope to stay in touch and return soon.”
Daniel Stammers said; “We were really pleased to welcome the MP for South Ribble, Katherine Fletcher to Little Hoole.
“Katherine spent a busy morning meeting all the children, seeing them working hard and she appeared to enjoy taking their challenging questions.
“She has promised to help us where she can from budgets to helping to keep our local area safe. Thank you, Katherine, for visiting us.”
