I know how important local sports facilities are for South Ribble, so this week I met with the Minister for Sports and Tourism, Nigel Huddleston MP.
I had a productive chat about the need for 3G football pitches in our West Lancashire Borough wards - he has given me contact details for Government funded agencies which I will be following up with to try and find ways to get those much needed pitches.
Huge thanks to the Minister for taking the time to hear the thoughts of residents on where those facilities would be best placed and I look forward to working with you to take these initiatives further!
