I had a great time visiting Hutton Marsh today for the launch of the Habitat Improvement Scheme and hearing about the hard work of the Preston and District Wildfowlers Association (PDWA) in getting it going.
With the help of the Wildlife Habitat Charitible Trust, Natural England, the Hesketh family, and many others, these people have transformed Hutton Marsh into a thriving habitat for so many different species of birds. They’ve reshaped banks, installed nesting boxes, and given up so much of their time to protect this valuable site for years to come.
On top of everything they’ve already done, it was fantastic hearing about their future plans to further improve the site. I’d like to thank the PDWA for all their effort and hard work, and I look forwards to seeing what else they get up to in the future
