LOCAL APPEAL - SUPPORT THE LEYLAND COMMUNITY NETWORK
I've been to see the amazing Sophie Wilding and her team at Leyland's Community Network and Outreach Service today. They are setting up in a new building, but they need some help.
Can anyone donate their time or materials? Help them get the following items:
- 3 internal door casings (900mm)
- 20 9.5 plasterboards
- 10 bags of self-levelling compound
- 25 lengths of 3x2 for stud walling
- Galvanised jack chain (10m)
- Plug sockets
- Reisser Countersunk Pozidrive Screw
- Light fittings
- Wire kits
- LED emergency bulkhead
As you can see from the photo, they have big plans. For example, the team wants to expand the toilet for disabled access, fit flooring to the entire building, install electrics, and put up new signage. It's a huge project that needs everyone to contribute! They're also fundraising to get some of the items mentioned above, and are welcoming donations.
Sophie and her team have done such a fabulous job during COVID getting care kits and supplies inc. PPE to key workers and services across the entire area. They have distributed everything from face masks to snack boxes. They now need your help to continue their hard work, and their brilliant plans to expand into a community hub, with extra community support like a pantry service, mental health and much more.
