I had a really good meeting with Health Secretary Victoria Atkins this week.
It was a great opportunity to catch up with Victoria about what we need in South Ribble. We talked about:
GP services in South Ribble, how we support our doctors and get more appointments for patients
Dentistry provision and how we improve access
The massive £2 billion that is being invested in a brand-new purpose-built hospital in South Ribble to replace Royal Preston. This will be the largest hospital building initiative in decades. I've worked hard with our fabulous local NHS trust to get this once in a generation upgrade for all of us in South Ribble. A few locations are being considered, all with fantastic transport links so watch this space…
