If you love ducks and wildlife as much as I do, WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre, Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve (http://www.lancswt.org.uk/.../mere-sands-wood-nature-reserve) and Hesketh Out Marsh - RSPB (www.rspb.org.uk/days-out/reserves/hesketh-out-marsh) are all great places for a visit.
