It’s amazing to hear about all these local apprenticeships. One of the reasons I am so keen to have a Northern Powerhouse is so that our young people don’t have to move away to get great jobs. These fantastic apprenticeship opportunities help keep talent right here in South Ribble.
This Conservative government has expanded apprenticeships to nearly 70% of occupations - delivering over 5.7 million apprenticeship starts since 2010. There are now almost 700 different apprenticeships available.
