Amazing news about nuclear energy in Lancashire 
It’s brilliant for both Lancashire and the rest of the North West Nuclear Arc that £300 million is being invested in nuclear energy. The Springfields plant will benefit from investment into new fuel technology, which is such good news for everyone in the county.
I was so chuffed when I spoke about this in the chamber last week. It’s fantastic for both the Northwest Nuclear Arc and the Northern Powerhouse. It means Lancashire’s skills and capabilities can be used to export fuel across the globe and we can keep moving away from any reliance on Putin for energy.
