Last week we welcomed Health Minister Lord Markham to talk about plans for a new hospital to replace the current Royal Preston. This will provide a once in a generation upgrade to health services for people in South Ribble, delivered by this Government.
Building a new hopital does take time, which is why we have invested £15 million into additional bed capacity for the current Royal Preston and Chorley Hospitals. Keeping good access to healthcare, particularly A&E services was something I campaigned on in 2019 and I'm still committed to delivering now.
