Thank you to Hoole Village Hall for hosting my recent Q & A. It was great to meet you all.
We discussed a number of topics including immigration, flooding and apprenticeships. I have been working on flooding solutions across South Ribble since my election. Significant schemes have been delivered to deal with some of the biggest problems, like the defences at Croston where almost 100 homes were subject to regular flooding or the £40 million scheme which is currently ongoing in the Ribble at Penwortham.
While we have got a lot done, there is more to do. With this in mind I have set up a tool on my website to allow me to collect a comprehensive list of all local flooding problems ahead of a flood summit in the new year. This will allow me to bring every issue together in the words of local people, even though many of these issues are known or historic. I will be continuing to hold Q & A sessions into the new year and look forward to meeting more of you.
