Lots of great questions at my Mawdesley Q&A
It was great to meet Mawdesley residents on Friday.
We talked about:
The flood summit I am holding next month, to bring together all the agencies responsible for water management in South Ribble, where I will raise all known flooding spots with them to find solutions. If you have flooding issues you can report them here: www.katherinefletcher.uk/reportflood
The condition of local roads. £244.5 million of the HS2 funds for the Northern leg are being redistributed to resurfacing Lancashire’s roads. The Love Clean Streets app allows you to directly report issues such as potholes, streetlights, road cleaning, traffic lights and a range of other concerns: https://lovecleanstreets.info/report It is very simple to use and allows you to take a photo on your phone, report an issue in seconds and easily keep up to date on the progress of your report.
The new Veteran Card. If you have served in the UK’s Armed Forces you can now apply for an ID card: www.gov.uk/veteran-card
Individual concerns that residents wanted my help with. My caseworkers look after around 50 new enquiries a week, along with many more ongoing cases, on behalf of constituents who need my help.
Thank you to Lucy at Cedar Farm for staying open late to host. They do a great cup of tea and the cakes look delicious.
Please get in touch by email on [email protected] or call 01772 382488 if you have an issue you would like my help with.
