After my summer of surgeries around the constituency I wanted to kick off autumn with a bigger Q&A event where I could meet with Leyland locals to talk about what I've been doing and listen to their views on what we need in South Ribble.
There was some northern straight talking and hard questions asked, which is exactly what I was looking for. Debate was heated but in the end very constructive and really helpful for me as I get ready for Parliament to return in a few weeks.
We talked about local issues like our new hospital to replace Royal Preston, The £50 million rebuild at Wellfield Academy that will join so many other local schools in getting government investment, the pressures of the migrant hotel in Leyland, and of course improving local transport links.
I am looking forward to doing more events like this across the constituency and I hope we can have such a full and frank discussion again.
My office is in Leyland just near the big Tesco and I meet people there each week so if there is something I can help you with then please do email in to: [email protected]

I would like to thank Frank Luntz for joining us. It’s not often we have an Emmy award winning American pollster, recognised globally for his political knowledge, in these parts.
Frank left with plenty of food for thought and I would like to thank everyone for coming along and engaging with myself and with Frank in such a constructive way.
