Last week, I spent a lovely evening getting involved with the girls’ training session over at Tarleton Corinthians FC
Girls have always faced more barriers to getting involved with football than boys, but I was so pleased to see that Tarleton Corinthians have created an environment that welcomes absolutely everyone. They’ve got Under 16s, Under 12s, and Under 10s girls teams, so there’s no shortage of opportunities for girls to get involved in this amazing community.
I’d like to thank Betty, both for her excellent years of service spent championing the club, and the amazing Tarleton Corinthians kit she gifted me! I’d also like to give a big thanks to Jason for letting me get involved in the training session. He accommodated me (and my one football trick) warmly, and I had an absolute blast - even if the girls did put me to shame! I look forwards to coming back again in the future & seeing how they get on.
