Yesterday I got to watch these talented girls play a match as part of The FA #LetGirlsPlay campaign.
This campaign is all about
- breaking down the barriers and stereotypes
- developing skills and confidence in themselves and in the game
- prioritising health and well-being
- getting more girls involved
By 2024, the goal is for girls to have the same opportunities to play football as boys in schools and clubs
Having grown up playing football till about 11 (when I had to stop because there were no girls clubs) I absolutely love this campaign and what it stands for.
