Teaching new skills is key to ensuring
- employers can get the right staff
- people have the opportunity to access skilled jobs
Today, along with other Lancashire MPs, we convened the first ever skills meeting with our amazing Lancashire Further Education Leaders.
Alex Burghart MP, the Minister for Apprentices and Skills, spent an hour listening to our brilliant Further Education leaders in Lancashire, to find out what’s working well with the government approach to skills, and hearing what we can do better.
The Department for Education’s Strategic Development Fund will bring Further Education providers and employers together to respond to local skills priorities and increase opportunities in our community.
If you’re an employer wanting specialist courses for skills training, or you are looking to learn something new, have a look at what is available at Runshaw College in Leyland - https://www.runshaw.ac.uk/i-am-a.../welcome-to-t-levels/
