Today I joined a mentoring session with 16-year old Monty from Runshaw College Sixth Form Centre, who has already done great work to better our communities. Supporting great young people like him to find their voice and choose their path in life is a fabulous thing to spend an hour of my time doing.
I hope that by sharing my own experiences, from both inside and outside politics, was something Monty found useful - building a wide set of skills is so important to getting on in life, whatever it is you want to achieve.
As part of The Diana Award's One Hour, One Young Person, One Parliamentarian Campaign, it was great to hear about Monty's story so far and I'm sure he's going to do great things in the future - always happy to support another Manchester United fan
