A few weeks ago, I asked for your help in showing leaders gathering at the #COP26 summit from across the world how much we value our nature here in South Ribble
Many of you took on the challenge but there were two masterpieces that I think showed the passion for keeping our environment safe and healthy. First winner from the youth category is Olivia Pilkington from Seven Stars Primary School.
Olivia created her art at Community Network and Outreach Service Youth Group after being inspired by a lesson on "going green" at her school. I presented her art to Alok Sharma, the President of COP26 to inspire him to work hard to protect our planet for future generations
Alok was amazed at the quality of the points she raised and despite being really busy working with 200 countries to help our planet, he asked me to pass on his personal thanks for her amazing efforts.
