In the run up to COP26, the most important people to involve are our children. I strongly believe they have much to offer us for solutions to climate change, as they are the generation who will be most affected. It was great to hear from pupils at Ashbridge Independent School and Nursery about their ideas.
They were extremely passionate about making their school greener, healthier, and safer in the spirit of the COP26 Climate Summit. I was delighted to attend the Student Council meeting and listen to their suggestions.
I also got to meet years 5 and 6 and answer their questions regarding everything from the environment to polar bears to climate change. Being finally able to visit schools in the constituency and meet our brilliant pupils is an absolute pleasure.
