As part of my visit to Lancashire Constabulary’s headquarters on Wednesday, I got to stop by the kennels to see the work that they get up to.
Police dogs are such a valuable tool in the fight against crime, being able to find drugs, explosives, and even money. I was very pleased to hear that Lancashire Constabulary’s police dog unit is expanding, meaning that there’s more police pooches protecting local people.
It was great being able to speak to Anna about the training process for new recruits, and Andrew Snowden, the Police & Crime Commissioner, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting one of the new rookies!
Lancashire Constabulary really are one of the best in the country, and they’re fighting hard on all fronts to make Lancashire a hostile environment for criminals of all forms. Our brilliant police dog unit is one of the many tools that we use to keep South Ribble and Lancashire as a whole safe.
