I had an informative meeting with Keith, Fiona, and their team yesterday about how they’re delivering valuable flood defences for Penwortham.
They’re doing great work to keep our local homes and businesses safe from the risk of flooding. I was very pleased to hear that their plans for protecting our communities don’t just stop at flood barriers in Penwortham and other areas, but they’re actually looking further upstream to stop flooding before it even gets down to us.
The brilliant work of the Environment Agency does not just stop in Penwortham. They’re continuing to keep communities like Croston safe from the risk of flooding, through improvements like improved waterproofing in existing defences.
