I have written to the Secretary of State today to make my opposition to the third prison in Ulnes Walton clear. It was great to meet in my Leyland office today with members of the "No 3rd Prison" group where we agreed this shouldn't happen.
With the final decision of the appeal from the Secretary of State being due in January, I'm determined to make sure our voice is heard. The community doesn't want it, the council doesn't want it, and the Secretary of State should reject the appeal.
