MP Katherine Fletcher has taken the leader of one of South Ribble’s most iconic businesses to Downing Street to meet the Chancellor at a Local Business Champions Reception.
David Berry, the managing director of well-known builders’ merchants C&W Berry Limited joined Katherine recently in No 10 to meet with Jeremy Hunt at a reception celebrating local entrepreneurs and businesses.
“I was really pleased to nominate David and get him invited to London to meet the chancellor and other business champions at the reception,” said Katherine.
“C&W Berry is a household name in Leyland and the surrounding areas and it is a business that is going from strength to strength. It is right that people who invest and employ people in their communities get a chance to be recognised in this way.
“At the reception the chancellor emphasised how important the work of people like David and his teams are to the UK. It was a pleasure to show him around Downing Street and the House of Commons to say a big thank you.”
