Fantastic to have the opportunity to look at designs for the New Hospital Programme with Health Secretary Steve Barclay. The new hospital that will replace Royal Preston is a major investment in our community that will transform healthcare for residents in South Ribble.
Building a new hospital is a big job so the Government has also provided £15 million for additional bed capacity at the current Royal Preston and Chorley District hospitals which we currently use.
