I loved driving and reverse parallel parking Leyland Trucks largest XG+ vehicle last week.
Not only did I get to drive a truck, but I also got to sign the iconic and last ever LF truck produced by the company.
Workers at Leyland Trucks signed the last ever DAF LF lorry after production ended last month. Over 200,000 have been built since 2001 and the lorry is now being replaced by a new model called the XB. The LF will be donated to the British Commercial Museum.
The new model is a vote of confidence in the sector, in the production plant and in Leyland.
Thank you to Peter for showing me around and to Dave for being my passenger on what was a very fun drive.
