His Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester officially opened Worden Hall today and planted the county's Coronation Tree in Worden Park. The tree is Lancashire’s contribution to the Kings Green Canopy project. It was an honour to welcome him to this special ceremony and great to see the refurbished Grade II building reopen.
His Highness was very interested in engineering in Lancashire & its importance to us, especially when talking with BAE systems and me.
Personally, I was very impressed at his tree planting skills, it was a proper job.
Thanks to all who organised this event, showcasing South Ribble at its finest.
