Great news – More than 600 additional police officers joined Lancashire Constabulary within the last 4 years to tackle crime across the county, including in South Ribble.
Lancashire Constabulary are proudly celebrating after recruiting an additional 612 police officers, many of whom have completed their training and others on their way towards becoming fully-fledged officers, serving alongside their committed colleagues.
One of my key priorities is to keep crime down by making sure we get our fair share of police on the beat and initiatives like Operation Centurion that is tackling anti-social behaviour in Leyland Central, Broadfield and Seven Stars right now. The reopening of Leyland Police Station has also meant an increased police presence locally.
