Meeting New Longton locals to answer Questions was brilliant last Friday. Some of the Qs included:
Net Zero – we talked about energy security, our energy mix & what we're doing in government to help. The UK’s world leading offshore wind sector came up.
Traffic – residents continue to be concerned about speeding, HGVS, the volume of traffic and accidents. Councillors Margaret and Phil Smith joined us for the meeting and were able to give more information about what they are doing to improve traffic locally. 
One of the things Margaret is trying to do is get a sign put up near the school to designate it as a dangerous area. Along with the other work she is doing, this should make people consider their driving in that part of the village, increase safety and reduce accidents.
