Cavity Extraction Ltd fix poorly installed cavity wall insulation (which can make houses harder to heat, and damp in some cases).
I visited Damien and his team and they shared their expertise with me. Potentially half of retrofitted insulation could be wrongly installed, leading to inefficiency and potential issues, even driving up bills due to damp/water evaporation.
It was also important to hear Damien’s views and concerns about the retrofit industry, business costs and the future of our economy. All these will be fed back to the relevant ministers. I thank him for inviting me. His business is a credit to the area in innovation and is creating great local jobs.
