Young charity ambassador from South Ribble in Parliament.
I always enjoy meeting constituents when they come to Westminster for a tour and it was great to meet a group of young constituents in Parliament last week, including care-leaver Jake Hartley. Jake is an ambassador for Barnado’s as part of the Children at the Table coalition of children’s charities which helps children in care and care leavers find opportunities.
One of them was a knowledgeable biologist. We agreed on many things and it was fab to kick around some science together.
Supporting young people’s mental health is so important and It's truly inspiring to see individuals like Jake making a real impact and creating positive change.
