πLots of fantastic questions were asked at my Q&A in Croston. π
It was great to attend Bishop Rawstone Church of England Academy on Tuesday and meet some of the residents of Croston.
Some of the topics we chatted about included:
π Bus service improvements β Β£30 million is being spent on improving the bus network and this will include getting buses fitted with transponders so you have a better idea of where the bus is and when it will turn up at your stop β βsaving you from having to stand about in the cold and wet for any longer than you need to.
π£ The A582 dualling β I was able to confirm to residents that this is still going ahead. This should really help with traffic congestion.
π Removing the buffers at Ormskirk. This is part of my campaign to reopen Midge Hall Station to offer a quicker direct route from Preston to Liverpool.
β The Northern Powerhouse β making investments into transport in the North means that our young people can get great jobs right here instead of having to move away.
Thank you to Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Academy for hosting the event.
