I'm encouraging all local residents and businesses to take part in the Ministry of Justice's public consultation about a potential new prison on the same site as HMP Garth and HMP Wymott.
The proposed new prison would have 7 separate prison blocks each holding about 240 prisoners. The prison will also include support buildings including a reception area, workshops, visit hall and offices. Below you can find pictures of the proposed location for the prison, as well as the prison blocks and how they would look like.
