Community Payback is a government initiative where offenders work on projects to pay back the community for their crimes.
It aims to help people on probation make positive changes to get their life back on track whilst taking care of our glorious communal areas.
I got to chat to some of the team on this project and they told me how many new skills they’d learnt, all whilst being outside which had a positive impact on their mental health.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to the amazing team and supervisors involved - the work they’ve done on Worden Park really is amazing. As well as cleaning and clearing walkways, they’ve made new footpaths, stairs and bridges so we can enjoy the whole park!
